Music

As a rule, I never explicitly trust people who like to listen to just one type of music, or music from just one era in time. That sort of behaviour belies a narrow-mindedness that is compounded by an obsession with the past, together with an inability to accept the present, and possibly, a certain amount of distress about facing the future.

Personally, I think that people who are stuck in an Eighties musical time-warp are particularly lame because, despite growing up in that decade, the Eighties sucked ass.

So get with the program, motherfucker.

Thank you.

but i thought listening to music is based on what feels good to the person. or do we have to follow trends to be happy?

No, we don't have to follow trends. What I meant was, how can a person ever listen to just one type of music? You can have your favourite kind of music, say, samba, but if you just listen to samba all the time, you're going to end up like those Elvis impersonators who are stuck in this time-space continuity where Elvis is still alive, munching on peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches somewhere in Nevada.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Same concept, no?
